This Privacy Policy explains how this QR code generator ("the Service") handles information. The Service is a static website. QR codes are created on your device.
1. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit the content you encode. That includes URLs, phone numbers, vCard contact details, WhatsApp numbers, GPS coordinates, plain text, email fields, WiFi network names, and WiFi passwords. Generation happens in your browser. We have no database of your QR codes.
2. Information that may be collected automatically
The hosting provider that serves these files may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, date/time, and the page requested. That is ordinary web-server logging used for security and reliability. We do not use it to identify the codes you create.
The view total in the footer counts page loads for this site only. It does not store your IP address and it does not set a cookie.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they view, and general device/region statistics. This helps us improve the tool. GA4 may set cookies and collect anonymized usage data such as pages viewed, session duration, and approximate location (country/city level). We do not send your QR code content to Google Analytics.
You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
4. Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5538034965587505) to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or Google's ad policies.
The QR generator itself does not store your encoded content. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
5. Third-party scripts
The generator loads a QR library from a public CDN (cdnjs). That request is made by your browser to the CDN, which has its own privacy policy. No QR content is sent to the CDN beyond what is needed to load the library file. Google Analytics and AdSense scripts are loaded from Google and are subject to Google's privacy policy.
6. Legal bases and your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, any limited server-log processing is based on legitimate interest in running and securing the site. You may have rights to access, deletion, or objection under GDPR, and similar rights under CCPA/CPRA if you are a California resident. Because we do not store QR content, there is typically no user profile to export.
6a. US state privacy (CPRA / opt-out)
California and certain other U.S. states allow opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Eligible visitors may see a Google notice with Opt out. You can also use Google Ads Settings.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, use the contact method listed on your hosting or domain registrar record once the site is live, or the email you publish on the About page.
