QR Generator

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how this QR code generator ("the Service") handles information. The Service is a static website. QR codes are created on your device.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit the content you encode. That includes website URLs, plain text, email fields, WiFi network names, and WiFi passwords. Generation happens in your browser. We have no database of your QR codes.

2. Information that may be collected automatically

The hosting provider that serves these files may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, date/time, and the page requested. That is ordinary web-server logging used for security and reliability. We do not use it to identify the codes you create.

3. Cookies and ads

This version of the site does not set its own analytics or advertising cookies. If ads or analytics are added later, this policy will be updated and, where required, a consent notice will be shown. Third-party ad networks (for example Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve and measure ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

4. Third-party scripts

The generator loads a QR library from a public CDN (cdnjs). That request is made by your browser to the CDN. The CDN has its own privacy policy. No QR content is sent to the CDN as part of generation; the library runs locally after it loads.

5. Legal bases and your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, any limited server-log processing is based on legitimate interest in running and securing the site. You may have rights to access, deletion, or objection under GDPR, and similar rights under CCPA/CPRA if you are a California resident. Because we do not store QR content, there is typically no user profile to export.

6. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes

If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.

8. Contact

For privacy questions, use the contact method listed on your hosting or domain registrar record once the site is live, or the email you publish on the About page.
