Pick one job for the square. A listing page, a phone number, and a map pin are three different codes. Most signs use the listing link, because photos and price live on that page and can change without a new sign — as long as the address of the page stays the same.
What to encode
- Listing URL on the URL tab of the QR generator. Use the full
https://address of the property page. - Phone when you want the camera to open the dialer. Include the country code.
- Map on the GPS tab. Enter latitude and longitude so the phone opens maps at the property, not at a nearby street.
Do not replace the listing link with a shortener you do not control. If the listing moves to a new address, the printed sign still points at the old one.
One sign, or every listing
- For one property, generate a single PNG and scan it outdoors before the sign goes up. Glare and distance matter more than they do on a desk.
- For a set of listings, put one URL per row in the bulk QR generator and download the ZIP. The Excel guide shows the column names.
- Print the code large enough to scan from the sidewalk. Leave a light margin and keep the modules dark on a light background.
